Job Description

We are looking for an experienced web developer to work on both the front- and back-end of a web and mobile auction and shopping site built with Django.
You should be pretty familiar with Django and Python.
* Designing models, model managers.
* Testing Django apps.
* Writing template tags, views, middleware and decorators.
* Fan of The Django Way, DRY, separation of urls, models, views and templates.
* Advanced Pythonista, min 2 years, using advanced language features.
In addition, we need somebody who's a great web person. We believe this is very different from just being a programmer. Your bookshelf should feature a Nielsen or a Krug next to your animal books.
* 2 years web development.
* Semantic HTML.
* Super CSS skills.
* Good JS Prototype/Behaviour/progressive enhancement.
* Appreciation of user experience, building a consistent, clear UI.
Familiarity with mobile technologies is a bonus.
* WAP 2.0/XHTML-MP.
* SMS/MMS.
You should have excellent computer science knowledge and all-round unix development chops.
* OO.
* Separation of concerns.
* Designing for maintenance and reuse.
* Test-driven development.
* OS X, Linux, Apache, mod_python, MySQL, bash.
We need someone with an almost fanatical devotion to neat code. You should be familiar with PEP 8.
